Understanding rated load and bucket capacity
By PT.SFJX
Read load and volume together when comparing a wheel loader for your material.
01 · TWO FIGURES, TWO MEANINGS
Rated load is a mass figure. Bucket capacity is a volume figure. Materials with different bulk densities can have different masses at the same bucket volume. Discuss material characteristics and the selected bucket with the equipment team.
02 · USE THE SUPPLIED CONFIGURATION
For the supplied L968H configuration, the catalogue lists 6,300 kg rated load, a 3.0–6.0 m³ bucket range and 178 kW rated engine power. These values describe that configuration and should not be copied to another model.
03 · PREPARE A USEFUL ENQUIRY
Include the material, intended work, loading height, site conditions and preferred model. Confirm the final configuration and specifications before ordering.
